DO YOU HAVE A NICE PLACE TO HUNT BUT NO PHEASANTS? WE CAN HELP!
AT INDIAN LAKE GAME BIRDS (WINTHROP MN) WE SPECIALIZE IN JUVENILE PHEASANTS FOR RELEASE / RESTORATION. Part of our mission is for private land owners to have pheasants back on their land where they once were.
"There's nothing quite like the cackle of a wiley rooster pheasant on a crisp fall morning", or for any morning for that matter.
RELEASING PHEASANTS when they are considered of "juvenile" age HAS BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL.
WE HAVE RECEIVED FEEDBACK FROM PREVIOUS CUSTOMERS
AND HAVE SEEN FIRST HAND ON OUR OWN TEST PLOT - NO LESS THAN A 60% SURVIVAL RATE-MORE LIKE 80%.
(Of course we cannot garantee that for everone - there are too many variables)
As we raise young pheasants for release at Indian Lake Game Birds we try to create the most natural environment for our Pheasants, (Chukar, Quail and Hungarian Partridge also). We keep our game birds as wild as possible with minimal human interaction. Their diet consists of high quality feed plus grasses, corn, weeds and bugs that they would naturally eat in the wild. We take the time to nuture them by raising them in a natural setting. We take the time to give them the weeds and seeds and whatever else they will be eating in the wild so they know what to look for once they are set free.

Hours of Operation
Raising gamebirds is a 24/7 job. We keep some Pheasants, Chukar and Quail through the winter so we collect our own eggs, incubate and hatch them in the spring. Then there is the brooding!! and the list goes on. So we are here most of the time. Just call well in advance to schedule a pick up time.
